ISA Annual Meetings Tour
We’re trying something new this year.
Traditionally, Alliance members gather in the winter for a large annual meeting in Springfield. But our membership has grown so much, we’re going to try bringing the annual meeting to you.
Now you can choose to join us in southern, central, or northern Illinois or in Chicago.
Attend a regional meeting near you to celebrate big wins for local food, industrial hemp, and cottage food; reflect on the challenges that lay ahead; hear the latest on our ambitious plan to launch Buy Fresh Buy Local statewide; and steer our strategic direction.
You’ll enjoy fellowship with members and leaders in this Alliance of farmers and eaters changing the local food landscape in Illinois. We will meet from 3 to 5pm, followed by a networking happy hour from 5 to 6pm at all four locations.

3:00pm: Welcome from an Alliance Board Member
3:10pm: Celebrating our Victories 2018 was a year of big wins for the Alliance! Hear from members and stakeholders about how these legislative wins are already impacting local food and farms across the state.
3:30pm: Buy Fresh Buy Local 2020: The Statewide Launch We’re building partnerships and a powerhouse team to take our Buy Fresh Buy Local campaign statewide in 2020. Hear how our plan will not just raise the profile for local food and farms, but pave the way for building local food systems across the state, then learn how you can get in on the action.
4:00pm: Tipping Point: Building Soil and Building Momentum for Change Healthy soils grow healthy food, keep waterways clean, and protect our fragile ecosystems, but when it comes to building healthy soils, the deck is stacked against farmers. Hear from a soil health farmer taking matters into his own hands and how the Alliance is helping farmers organize change from within.
4:15pm: To Boldly Go: Your Input on Alliance’s Strategic Plan We’re growing, evolving, moving forward– and we need you. Help shape our vision and strategy to insure that you, our members, our at the heart of everything we do and that we’re working on the issues you care about.
4:45pm: What’s Next: Legislation, Lobby Day, and Taking Action Get the scoop on our Spring 2019 legislative agenda and learn how you can take action, stay involved, and stir up change.
5:00pm: Networking Happy Hour & Celebration! 2018 was a big year! Let’s celebrate with the finest local food, drink, and friends as we gear up for 2019. Locally sourced snacks and appetizers will be provided, cash bar available.
