

Chatham Area Public Library Hosts Seed Starting Lecture 04/29/2015
On April 29th at 6:00pm, Tom Hiler, U of I Extension Master Gardener, will be giving a talk about how to start seeds indoors. Find out what seeds can be started inside and when to start them. Discussion will also include suitable times to transfer plants outdoors. This event is free and open to the public. Illinois Native Plant Society Plant Sale 04/25/15
Native Illinois prarie and woodland plants will be available to purchase on April 25th from 9am to 2pm. Plant sizes vary and were grown by INPS members. The sale will be taking place in the Commodity Pavillion on the Illinois State Fairgrounds, 801 Sangamon Ave. For more information call 217-782-1698.


Volunteer Opportunities at Local Garden
A new genHkids community run garden has been installed in Springfield! It is located at the corner of 3rd and Canedy. Multiple raised beds were installed and filled with soil. Earth Day Springfield -April 25th, 2015
Come celebrate our Earth with us on Saturday, April 25th from 10:00am-2:00pm at Lincoln Park. Learn about the ways Grow Springfield is caring for the world around us and how you can get involved.
